Regular chiropractic care has many benefits and can help with a variety of ailments in people of all ages and walks of life. There is a lot of research that has been done in the last few years in favor for chiropractic. Let us discuss some different ways chiropractic care can be useful.

Research for Children and Chiropractic care

If you’re a new parent dealing with your baby’s colic, chiropractic care could benefit both of you. Childbirth can traumatic for both mother and child, and sometimes a baby needs a gentle adjustment to help them latch better when nursing and to help alleviate any issues in the spine from the process of child birth. As your child gets older and you are potty-training, your child might struggle with bed-wetting. A simple chiropractic adjustment may help with this problem, leaving your child feeling better about themselves and you not having to change the bed sheets as frequently in the middle of the night.

Research for Neck Pain

Neck pain is a common complaint at some time in an adult lifespan. A study done by Haavik Research showed that people with neck pain, even if it’s mild, were less spatially aware. The study used a control group without neck pain and a group with mild neck pain. Each participant had their arm positioned above their head while laying down, then returned to a neutral position. They were asked to close their eyes and put their arm in the same position as before. The people without neck pain were able to accomplish this while the people with neck pain were not. The people with neck pain were given a chiropractic adjustment and retested. During the retest, they were able to put their arm in position with their eyes closed. The chiropractic adjustment helped open the neuropathways between the brain and arm, allowing the brain to “see” the arm better.

If you find yourself struggling with spinal pain, you may need to see a chiropractor. A chiropractic adjustment can help to open your neuropathways and help your brain “see” your arms and legs better. Balance improves with a chiropractic adjustment. Problems with balance could present is many different ways. Some ways are the feeling of fainting or coordination problems such as stumbling or tripping over your own feet. This can be caused from neck, ear or back/hip problems. A gentle chiropractic adjustment could help you regain your balance and feel better. It allows the brain to communicate with the arms and legs better.

Research for an adjustment

Our brains are amazing! They create neuropathways with each habit, activity, or movement we make. Some pathways are small like a two-lane road. Other pathways that we use a lot are like a huge multi-lane highway. If part of our body seizes up from an injury, it’s like closing or reducing the number of lanes open. With time, that part of the brain stops working. This is why it’s important to keep our bodies working and moving properly. An adjusted helps keep those neuropathways (roadways) open and functioning at their best. Keeping you feeling your best and your brain operating at it’s best is especially important as we age. Our bodies slow down and can lose mobility causing the neuropathways diminish and the brain isn’t as sharp.
